Genetic consultations are reimbursed by the LAMal (franchise and 10% participation deduced).
High-throughput sequencing analysis are included in the list of analyses reimbursed by healthcare insurances. Depending on the condition, a prior request may be required. We take care of the administrative steps for the patients who benefitted a genetic consultation; when necessary, we can inform the doctors who wish to prescribe an analysis on the insurance request modalities.
Analyses of more than 10 genes can only be prescribed by a doctor-FMH specialist in medical Genetics.
